godparents.

one cool thing that RI does is a "godparent" program with the kids at CAD.

it is the coolest thing because so many of our kids have amazing relationships with their godparents.

they make journals & write back & forth & the kids LOVE it. most of the time i never have to tell them to write something back. they know i am coming & they have it ready for me.

so sweet.

our godparents are the BEST. their monthly donation goes towards providing water, food, & propane every month.

sometimes the godparents will send us things to take to the kids & we get so excited to give it to them. we make it such a special  moment for the kids to feel cared for & they know someone is praying for them & cares for them. we bring them into a room all by themselves & we sit them in a chair, we have a little talk with them about how they are doing in school, how they are eating, how they are doing in general & then we present them with their gifts. we are all "oooos" & "aaaahs"while they are opening their gifts & the kids have the biggest smiles. it really makes their day & it really makes our day. we take photos of them & tell them how much we love them. it really is such a special moment. anyone that has been on an RI trip & has been apart of this ALWAYS loves it. the kids leave the room with a little pep in their step.

RI is so thankful for all of their godparents & we would LOVE for you all to take some time & come to haiti & meet your kiddo if you haven't already.

our goal is to have time set aside for godparents to get to know their kids. so if you come on a trip with us you will get that. we will go somewhere special with the kiddos & you get a translator to sit down & personally get to know your sweetie! if you brought a gift you can give it to them yourself  & see how excited they get. you will build a bond that is really strong with this child. the cool part is more than likely you get to be apart of that child's life for a very long time. you ARE  family to them & that relationship is so important to nurture & maintain.

if you have been wanting & praying to be apart of our godparent program we have 23 new kids at CAD that need one.

email us revelatorinternational@gmail.com

these new kids are AMAZING & they all have a story to tell.

keep a lookout on our Facebook page for a new album with kids who need a godparent.

haiti june 2019.

FINALLY! i spent a long weekend with the boys & it was SO NEEDED. they have grown so much & i was so insanely happy to see them. not in a photo or video but with my own eyes. let me just tell you getting there was something else. 8 months since my feet were on haitian soil & if you know me you know that is a LONG TIME. the day cory took me to the airport i accidentally left my phone in the car, the incredible ticket agent allowed me to use her phone to call him (insert praise hands) on his way home our car went crazy & stopped right in front of a library so he just coasted in (insert praise hands again). he is literally on the phone with me telling me everything as I am about to board the plane, i was like get behind me devil. an uber driver, a good friend, a tow truck, cory's step dad & an alternator later the car was good to go. when i walked into the house my heart was just overcome with thankfulness. yes we still need to raise $4000 before august ...
