august happenings.

you guys I have 3 words for you, GOD IS GOOD.

thanks to so many amazing supporters our rent is paid in full for the year for the #riboyshome

we could not do what we do without your prayers & donations. you are all apart of our #rifamily & we are so blessed to have you.

SO MANY THINGS to tell all of you. we were in haiti 3 weeks ago & went with expectant hearts ready to get to work. we were so blessed to have ali come again (this was her 2nd trip) & I know the boys were so excited to see her. she prepared lessons for the kiddos at CAD & our #riboyshome boys. she spoke about Gods plan & purpose for our lives. she spoke about a time line of our day & how we can incorporate God in that time line & how we can show God to others. such a good reminder for us all!

we were able to spend 2 days at CAD & were so happy. we were able to teach them how to play volleyball.

we were also able to bring mangoes from our property in mirebalais so the kids could enjoy! each of them got 3 mangoes, what an awesome treat!

anytime we get to see the CAD kids our hearts are overjoyed. miss sophonie who use to work at CAD came with us & the kids were so happy to see her too! I love all my CAD girls.

one of my favorite things this trip was watching saint franel transform in front of my eyes. it was really emotional for me seeing him work with us at CAD. I kept thinking of him so many years ago a child himself living at CAD & now seeing him become this person taking ownership & pride in what he was doing was just incredible. he helped with ali's lesson & made sure all the children had what they needed for the lesson. he translated for us when we needed a translator. every single thing we were doing he was apart of. all the children were so excited to see him & were just in awe of how much he had grown. it has been a year since he left CAD to live with us at the #riboyshome

he turned 18 feb 14th of this year & in haiti when you turn 18 you can get your license. with the help of our generous donors we were able to get the $300 to pay for his driving license & paperwork to get his license & he got it last week! you can definitely see him walk with a new pep in his step & look at that smile!

saint-franel we are so proud of you. you are constantly learning & growing in the things of the lord. each time we give you a new responsibility you learn & grow from that. you are so talented & we cannot wait to see how God uses those talents to further his kingdom.

our boys were able to spice up the house making it feel a little more like home & afterwards we took them over to Lakay Poze to swim & enjoy some snow cones!

we were so happy to have kelsey on her first trip with us, she brought her little boy zeke too!

we had 2 soccer games this trip. one in village kanes & one in canaan.

I went to village kanes my first trip to haiti & it was so fun to see all the kids & how much they have grown. I was there this past March with CC & the first thing the kids said to me when I saw them 3 weeks ago was  "Evanda Evanda mw pa wé cc" they were asking me where she was, if she was walking. I showed them all the videos of her & they were so excited! #révsoccerteam won both matches so I was super pumped.

PLEASE welcome our newest team members.

evenson is our new security guard & we are so happy to have him. he has a 3 year old son & plays bass!

TRACEY! I was honored to have her on my first trip to haiti years ago & she is one of my dearest friends. she is such an amazing addition to the RI team. she comes with so much joy, wisdom, creativity, years of working with children & a love for missions. GOD YOU ARE SO GOOD TO US!

when you donate to Revelator International it helps us feed these 11 growing boys. manmi works so hard cooking all day in extreme heat & she does it all with a smile. she literally makes some of the BEST food & is always loving on cc.

we had a morning out for some coffee & brought sonson along. I always give them a turn going out with us & trying new things or seeing new places. they should know about their culture & all that haiti has to offer.

we have cleared the land & are preparing to have a soccer field on our property. please be in prayer for us & with us as we step out in faith to start things up on the land. a soccer field is something our boys can enjoy as well as our community there.

these are the goals we plan to build with the pipes below. after checking prices it is going to be about $600 for our goals!

THANK YOU so much to ali, 1st Christian Church Carrollton, Sam from The Blue Nomad Grill for hosting an amazing fundraiser for us

THANK YOU to Pam & her team from Victory Worship Center for all you do for our boys. They hosted a volleyball camp, taught the boys how to lead someone to Christ & took them for a community project with the elderly & special needs children at a Catholic Village. They prayed & loved on them for a few hours!

The BEST part is while Pam was teaching the boys how to lead someone to Christ she used Makendy as an example. While she was teaching him it happened just how God wanted it too & Makendy gave his heart to the lord. Then our sweet little Jameson accepted Jesus too! They will go through a discipleship program & then be baptized. GOD YOU ARE SO GOOD!

Her team built these amazing bunkbeds this past March! They are strong beds! She also had someone that donated money to buy these incredible mattresses too!

I would say its safe to say they had fun playing volleyball!

each month it takes us around $625 to buy food, water & propane. each time you donate to RI your money goes into this storage that we are so proud of.

Lord,
Thank you for opening doors for us. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to steward these children. Help us to do right by you. Help us to always be an example to them of trusting you even when it gets hard. Thank you to each one of our sponsors who give so much to RI & what you are doing in Haiti. Bless them & their families above & beyond. Thank you for our #riboyshome I pray each person that hears about us can see this is a home of love, a home of peace & a home for you. Thank you for all you have done this month, all the past months & all the months to come. You are truly so so so good.

Be Blessed,

Evanda

#riboyshome 2019-2020 school year

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" nelson mandella said it best, right? education is one of the MOST important things for our boys. haiti's literacy rate is 61% & did you know that school is costly to most. with the average income being $1793.55 it is a heavy burden for most parents, but still they fight. we all fight because we know even with the best education life is still incredibly difficult. with education comes knowledge & knowledge comes power. we are responsible to give our boys a fighting chance to make the very best life for themselves & their future families. we have the amazing chance to give them everything they need to succeed & everything we pour into them they get the chance to pour into others. with that being said we are already planning for our boys 2019-2020 school year! makendy 2019 - he made the highest grade in the whole house, schooling 85%. we are so

FINALLY! i spent a long weekend with the boys & it was SO NEEDED. they have grown so much & i was so insanely happy to see them. not in a photo or video but with my own eyes. let me just tell you getting there was something else. 8 months since my feet were on haitian soil & if you know me you know that is a LONG TIME. the day cory took me to the airport i accidentally left my phone in the car, the incredible ticket agent allowed me to use her phone to call him (insert praise hands) on his way home our car went crazy & stopped right in front of a library so he just coasted in (insert praise hands again). he is literally on the phone with me telling me everything as I am about to board the plane, i was like get behind me devil. an uber driver, a good friend, a tow truck, cory's step dad & an alternator later the car was good to go. when i walked into the house my heart was just overcome with thankfulness. yes we still need to raise $4000 before august
